DW and I went over to some friends last night to watch CWS and have a few drinks. What a beautiful back yard they have! And the "big moon" brought some really high tides.

He's already passed out, Ms. Amy did a good job in picking the site and getting set up and all that after working all day.

Well, we had quite the morning...... my phone made noises I've never heard before and warned of flash flooding
We were about 50 yards from the Pectonica river so I thought I should head the warning. About 4am I opened the front door and was greeted by this,

About 8 am the sherif came through and told everyone to move to higher ground. We got 6-1/2 inches of rain in 4 hours

Needless to say, we are high and dry now

We are at Darlington, WI. About 40 miles east of Dubuque, IA. We ride the tri county trails with the golf carts and camp down town Darlington.

We've been doing this for about 5 years and this is the first time we've had any issues.
They also closed the trails because of the flooding

Beerthirty started about 10am today
