Canning some venison tonight. Took some to the processor and having half smokes, breakfast sausage, and chipped smoked venison made.
26 on The Ridge and calling for snow, ice and rain over the next 24 hrs.

I guess I can be like B47 and de-friend you when you start talking like that. We only have 2 sons and one retired from the AF and the other is in Arkansas. Have several adopted daughters and a few adopted granddaughters and one adopted grandson. Only adopted Iowegian daughter had a brain f-rt a few years back, but she's trying to make the best of it raising her kids, his kids and him. She's doing a great job on the kids, but the other one is totally hopeless.

Went down to Old Town in Kissimmee tonight, ate at an A&W and saw a bunch of old cars. Evidently the cars are on display every Sat night and they cruise the Old Town area. Pretty neat.
There were 2 of my favorites there. Studebaker Avanti's in mint condition. The workmanship on them stock put Corvettes to shame. Have been to Southbend to the factory when they were being built. They were essentially hand built.

Mornin' Phroggies. Back doing the "4 letter word which shall not be named" again today. Looks like we'll be 7 days a week through end of the year. It's getting a bit old (work and me! ). My youngest was able to get her dogsled out yesterday and hitched up one of the dogs for some fun while the snow lasts. I'm done with the snow and cold, and ready for some warm weather.

Timmy, sorry to hear you are having to do that.....for 7 days a week! Ick!!
On a much better note....I woke up to a light dusting of snow outside, and pretty cold inside. I decided out of the blue, to turn on the furnace, just to see if it might work.....OH MY WORD....WE HAVE HEAT!! Now why the thing is working now, I have no idea.....but I am not turning it off!! I am so excited to turn off these space heaters, and just let the propane do its thing!! Thank you FR angel! Hee!!

I hope I didn't speak too soon...so the furnace clicked off on its own....now to see if it turns back on, on its own......come on furnace....

About 29 degrees this AM on The Ridge. After letting cool all night, just checked the caned venison. DW says " it looks good".
Dragging out the Christmas tree today. I'll set it up... she'll decorate. Then she'll make center pieces and reefs after I cut some fresh hemlock and white pine for her.
Chicky, you need to hang a nice big natural reef on the front of your new country home... tis the season don't ya know.
Aquaman, hope you can find some time to enjoy the season with your family over the holidays
