We had (3) 440 Yamaha Exciter sleds for several years, sold them and the 3 place trailer in 81 when we moved back to Missouri. Did get to go sledding in Alaska about 10 years ago and they don't have groomed trails up there. Snow up around Denali (Mt. McKinley) is 15'-20' deep. The view is absolutely breathtaking. We thought northern Minnesota,Wisconsin and Michigan was fantastic, but those places pale in comparison to Alaska.

When we had The Farm hayed last summer, I was all worried about the young boy sitting inside the big tractor, that it must be over 100 degrees in there....I know....I am a suburban girl.....well the farmer said he was more comfy than us outside....air conditioning....had his music playing.....then I wanted a turn!

Payback is HELL....when it's 100 degrees and 95% humidity this summer you better keep an eye on all your A/C connections. I have a feeling they might lock you in the cab and disconnect the A/C.

Good morning Phroggies! I've finalized most of my plans for a charity trip to Guatemala next month. Will be going down and visiting with some friends in Guatemala City, then traveling to Panajachel to meet up with our charity organization. I will be there for a week doing whatever they need me to do during that time. I will also be meeting with the child and family that we sponsor. We had a new roof put on their home last month, and hopefully they will be starting on a new home for the daughter and mother, who currently live with her parents and 10 other family members in a 3 room home. The grandparents are deeding a small piece of land to my sponsored child, Evelyn, which I'm having the home built on. This is very special for a Guatemalan female to own a home, it gives her security and a place to go for life. Women there often stay in abusive relationships, because they don't have any place else to go. Evelyn is just a couple months younger than my daughter, whom we adopted from Guatemala. This is just our small way of trying to give back to the people who have given us so much more.
