Today ,son II is going to take his drivers permit test, soon this will inspire brotherly arguments,as to who can use the old Chevy trk. And the winner is whichever lands a job first lol!!

Have a great day gang !!

R B, I hope your DW gets back up to speed soon! That has been a long term illness. It be a month soon. We have been hermits here on The Ridge for the last month or so, just to stay away from all the colds flu going around.

We're not as rural as you guys but we do have to drive to other zip codes to shop. Come to think of it, we have 3 phones in this house and all of them have different area codes

We don't have the three phones with different area codes thing, but we have four different area codes for the DFW Metroplex proper here - 214,469,972, and 817.

I remember when first moving here it was 214 for Dallas and 817 for Fort Worth.

Thinking of buying a used CRICKET SW3 Electric golf cart. They collapse and only weight 303 lbs. Just have to figure out how to not only collapse it but possibly take it apart to get it to fit under the tonneau cover. Probably some part of it in front of the hitch and another part behind the hitch. It is small enough to fit on top of the tonneau cover behind the cab, but getting it up there would be a problem. Comes with telescoping alum ramps but would still have to worry about tying it down.

Bumper Extension

Hey Coot, could you extend that rear camper bumper and reinforce it enough to take the extra weight-that to me seems like the better choice-could even put a wheel or two under the rear to support also:

TOWTA ask the same thing and the answer is NO! Even tho' I think I could design and fab one to do the job without jeopardizing the frame. So, unless I can disassemble the cart enough to get it under the tonneau cover, I just won't buy it.

From The Ridge 8 mi to a little Maw and Paw general store / restaurant ( The Road kill Cafe) and that's the truth. . 24 miles to the nearest grocery store and 45 miles to the nearest shopping mall.

Hi, gang.

Was the forum screwed up today or was it just my computer? I could log in OK, but when I tried to click on and follow a thread, it kicked me out every time. It has only been in the last 5 minutes or so that I've been able to get on.
