Just picked up a new GMC Sierra/Duramax and now I waiting for 4' of snow to melt. That means I can go get my new Wildcat from the dealer and give it a workout. But the high temp this week coming up is below freezin.
I hope mid-April I can get it home. Winter, Winter go away, it's Spring!

I do say I have found that the Ford is the superior tow rig. I did find it quite humorous when my BILL blew his Duramax up pulling a sled trailer weighing around 8000 lbs. The Ford doesn't even know 8000lbs is there.

IIRC, it was around $630 out the door for 4 GY Marathons, 225-75-15 LR D, mounted, balanced, new high pressure stems, disposal fees, etc. and installed on trailer.

If you ever need to do some real towing just let me know I will let you barrow the Ford. Just pulled the FW 150 miles last night and had wind gusts up to 35 MPH and she towed like a dream.

That is 42 ft unit empty weight of 11500 lbs towing into a 30 MPH wind with gusts up to 35 MPH. Is the Duramax up to that kind of challenge?

I was going to use my Silverado 1500 to tow my new Wildcat 327ck cause I thought it could. OC's older 1500 does alot so could this.

Pulled my 42' 14k 5er from OH to FL, twice, with a 2500 Chevy Dmax. Simply get on interstate, set cruise to 68mph, let 'er go. pulled through KY and TN without a problem. Got new 3500, now actually thinking of adding weight in the bed of the truck just so it will squat it down a little more!

That's would scare me that is not a lot of truck to pull that kind of weight. And it's made by Government Moters!!!!!! And I hope you guys all know I'm just razz in you as it is my nature.

The main thing is that everyone gets out of their trucks what they want to accomplish. When we pay over $40,000 for these trucks we kinda want them to perform.
