Just got home @ 5:30 pm. 2100 miles and 24.1mpg. Traffic was absolutely horrible. Practically bumper to bumper both lanes on I70, 64,57,29 & 40. Run 75-80 for about 5 miles and then stop and creep for 1-2 miles and then back to speed. In all my years of driving, I have never seen it like today. Took us 1 hr to go 8 miles into Asheville on I40. Never cleared up until we got to I85 into Charlotte and surprised us both. NEVER will I travel on Labor Day weekend again.
Note to Lou(Herk): Frankie got her anniversary present when we got home, her official Rearden Metal bracelet. She even likes it.

That's about the same place we got stuck dead still for 45 minutes headed back to PF. That was because of the 18 wheeler trailer on fire on the shoulder of the road.
That's also where the UHaul truck rear ended the Allegro...shoved their Jeep toad up into the engine compartment.
As I said in PMs...glad y'all are home safe, and tell Ms Frankie congrats on the anniversary...AND the bracelet! She'll get lots of questions about it every time she wears it.

Made our 1st reservations at Thousand Trails Orlando(Kissimmee) starting 01Dec14 thru 19Dec14 at which time we will then go to Fawn Ridge in Davenport for 14 days and thus start the 2 weeks at each campground until leaving for home 13Mar15.
So, if we don't camp any more until then, we'll end up with only 110 days this year.

Ah yes the 2 week migration of the northern snowbirds, have you tries the TT park up near Wildwood Fl? Or Peace River we have only been in the Orlando one when in Fl.

We traveled between Peace River in Wauchula and Orlando for several years and got tired of having to wait on sewer hook up at Peace River. Our membership doesn't allow Three Flags @ Wildwood. We really like Fawn Ridge about a mile south of I4/Hwy 27 intersection, it is gated, all sites have level concrete pads with concrete patio.

Old Coot, thanks for the info. To many different memberships on who can go where it becomes a PIA. We have an Elite so I think that gets us in everywhere and only a discount at Encores.
