The Ford stole Popeye's spinach because it needed all the help it could get. Turns out the spinach was too much for the Ford and the Ford then blew up and was found dead on the side of the road.

I think someone could get rich selling popcorn on this thread the way it's going.

I'll have a bucket with butter if this thread keeps going the way it is now.

That will be 1 beer for the popcorn and a shot of vodka for the extra butter.

B47. While your eating popcorn. Just a real question-- what does an FAA inspector do? I've got a grandson at Purdue in aviation.

There are several different FAA Inspector positions such as the ones who inspect airports that have scheduled airline service and the Federal Air Marshall ones.

But I assume your grandson might be looking at the FAA Inspectors who are in the airplane/rotorcraft and maintenance of such.

The three main categories of these inspectors are 1. Maintenance (also known as Airworthiness) they deal with certification and surveillance of mechanics and repairmen that are employed with airlines and FAA certificated repair stations.

2. Operations. They deal with the certification and surveillance of the flight crews and a sub category here is the Cabin Safety Inspectors who deal with the Flight Attendants.

3. Manufacturing. They deal with the certification and maintenance requirements of new airplanes and rotorcraft. They also handle the manufacturing aspects used in building aviation products such as engines and propellers.

I realize this is just a very small description of various FAA Inspectors positions.

Your Grandson can look up GS -1825 on Goggle or Goverment Web Site for more information. That's the Position Description number for the FAA Aviation Inspectors

In addition, feel free to PM me if you wish.

Cheap enough - better than the $22.50 that Jack In The Box was charged for his popcorn.
