Not much down this way but a new campground just opened up near me that puts you within easy driving distance of Durham and chapel hill. (Jones Station) Also not that far from reidsville or Jordan lake. If your ever down this way let me know.

We just attended the Toronto Fall RV Show and found our new Fifth Wheel. Palomino Columbus 365RL. Comes with Generator prep, 6 point electric stabilization, can carry 3,000 lbs of gear and has the drop down rack for bikes and the Bradley Smoker. Big selling feature for us is the Propane Fridge. We semi boondocks so having propane fridge gives us 30 amp operation.

Now that we found this perfect fifth wheel we have 2 issues.

I need a New Truck to Tow It. F350 Minimum It has close to 16,000 GVRW fully loaded

Second one is about 25,000 difference on a trade.

Waiting for the Lotto ticket to win !!!

I can see why you like it. It's a really nice looking fifth wheel. I can't believe the amount of open space especially compared to my small TT without any slides. The finishes look pretty good too. I guess I should be in the line for lotto tickets too....

]I found looking t many brands that FR Rockwood and Palomino have the nicest cabinets and trim work. The DR Suites and Redwood for the price have some of the sloppiest doors and trim work around, almost double the price of the Palomino Columbus.

This is in Canadian Dollars with exchange on a soft dollar.

Our Current dealer sells Rockwood only. This dealer sells Palomino Columbus and Sabre only. Says something about Forest River products.

I think you have it perfected. Making me hungry. The first one I smoked I carved at the table and thought for a second I had undercooked it. It was so juicy. Great way to do the thanksgiving turkey.

That Columbus is beautiful. Gonna need to find a sucker on craigslist to pay top dollar for your current trailer. That will help. I actually managed to sell a 3 yr old tt on craigslist for only $3k less then I paid (out the door w/tax, tags and wdh). I did let them have a few things like wdh and old hoses that were about ready to be replaced anyways. Craigslist newbies will be your best friend when selling, you just have to bite your tongue when they know their tiny vehicle can tow that huge thing. Lol. Actually the one that bought ours, I spent a great deal of time educating. I wouldn't let him tow it until he installed a brake controller which he was convinced was unnecessary for that 7000 lb tt he was going to pull with his 1/2 ton SUV.

I will second the recommendations for Midway. That are one if the best. Service is excellent.

Last trip is always the worst and the best, the worst as we put the campers away and undercover, the best because we have the first trip of the new season to look forward to in the spring... can't wait. Hope you a had a good season in 2014 and you'll have a better one in the spring
