Photo almost ruined

The week we spent at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico was awesome. I took some good photos but I hate it when a good shot is almost ruined. There I was, enjoying a quiet moment on the beach when I realized I should take a picture. The combination of clouds, sky, and ocean was beautiful and just when I press the shutter release, two women walk into the frame "almost" ruining the shot.

I really love these "what is wrong with this picture" contests.

My guess is no sandals. Walking on a coral beach is dangerous without appropriate footwear...

You are looking way too hard at all the wrong things to spot that sailboat in the background. Good eyes to see it though. I didn't see the boat until the 4th or 5th pass going through all the photos I took.

I was going to guess they were overdressed at a topless beach.

I didn't think about that until you mentioned it Herk. That beach did have a lot of coral on it. I guess those gals are tougher than they look.

The resort we stayed at this year was huge and had about a mile of beach front. There were waaaay too many people that were comfortable wearing very little. I was surprised to see a few men wearing thong swimsuits. That just doesn't look comfortable. I think the biggest shock for me was seeing a woman who had to be in her 70's walking the beach topless. She was proud of what she had and stopped to talk to quite a few people.

The great majority of people in the world look better with clothes on!

Then again every once in a while one comes along that would look spectacular
without......

No, but I did crop the photo a bit. The photos I took with the zoom aren't family friendly...not at all.

You're gonna have to work on that photo composition. Those rocks just really take away from the subject!
