Pig Tails

The post in the Duck Press thread about the Amish not wasting any part of the pig reminded me of this.
One year on RAGBRAI (bike ride across Iowa) a local farmer got the bright idea of tieing fishing line to the removed baby pig tails and was selling them for 50 cents eash as a necklace. They were selling like hotcakes, but as you can imagine after a couple days in the late July heat, you were seeing them discarded all over the place.
To this day I still shake my head in disbelief about the mentality of people thinking that pig tails would make a nice necklace.
