Portable air compressor
Looking for advice on an air compressor to use on my RV and truck. I have looked at the Craftsman 3 gallon 135 psi portable unit. I even did a live chat with a representative from Sears and was told that this unit wouldn't work. The representative recommend a 7 gallon unit much bigger and more expensive that had a description nearly identical to that of the 3 gallon. She ended the chat and I never got to ask my questions. I had also looked at a Porter Cable one but was told that the 150 psi unit would barely inflate a tire requiring 60 psi. Am I missing something here? Is there a hidden secret to this that I am unaware of? My fifth wheel tires require a 100 psi. What do I need to get to inflate them?

I carry a small 3 gallon compressor. Works perfectly to top up the tires at home or when camping.

I bought a Porter Cable C1010 from Amazon for about $130. It is small and does the job; not really fast but size was important to me.

That's what I brought from Amazon for $99 and free shipping. It's a 135 psi with a 1 gallon tank. It fits perfectly into a small storage compartment and airs up my 80 psi RV tires.
Be aware that it does not come with an air hose or any accessories such as an air chuck.
I'm very satisfied with it.

I recently bought the Kobalt 1.5-HP 3-Gallon 155-PSI Electric Air Compressor . Does a good job on my 90 PSI tires. Got it at Lowes.

I purchased the Viair 400 RV Automatic, a little pricey but works great.

I have a small pancake air compressor Porter Cable will pump to 250 psi but have set to 150psi only works 120vac so at home or camp ground is only place i can use it. In near future i plan to get a 1500 or 2000 watt inverter in truck then can use any where.

How well do these work with a 3000 watt generator?

Any small pancake compressor should do the job. I took a different route, purchased the Viair 400 P-RV Automatic. It will handle anything up to 135 psi, is lighter and takes up a lot less space. It is a little pricey but for me those were big selling points.
