Talking Post up your ugly car or truck

Can anybody beat this ugly car? Maybe with a Pacer?

At one time that car could be purchased new for under $3,000. I don't think they are all that ugly. I would take it home with me.

Never liked the Pacer but I love Gremlins. I used to own a Metropolitan people either love them or hate them also.
Love your Gremlin

During the gas crunches AMC had to put on a second shift to meet the demand. And they had 20 gallon gas tanks. Who cares about gas lines?

Actually, the blueprint got folded and the quarter panel die design engineer didn't notice.

Here's my BEAUTIFUL 1974 Gremlin X. Great little car for the $$. You could get a V-8 in them (I had the big 6 cyl).

You might say ugly, but they had a lot more style than most of today's econo-boxes.

I think the Nissan Cube is a LOT uglier.

I don't have pictures handy but we had one of them thar AMC Gremlins.
It WAS full of 'em!
Engine knocked when 1 week old. Dealer pulled pan and said main bearings had not been tightened at factory.
Oil pan leaked like a sieve from that day on.
Radiator leak at 6 months.
Battery died at 11 months.
When it developed growly rear wheel axle bearings at 1 year we traded it
in on a new Toyota Celica. Took a beating on price but so glad to be rid of it!
No wonder AMC went belly up!!

I put 54,000 on mine in 2 yrs (before it got totaled by a tow truck) and only problems was broken choke spring and bad starter solenoid. Not bad for 1974. My brother had one, too, and put over 200,000 on it.

I'd buy another one before I'd EVER buy another Chrysler.

Some thought they were ugly but I love the looks of my 53 Willys pickup. Put it for sale on eBay today. Too many toys.

Saw this little unit parked outside a (where else) Wal-Mart this weekend.

I vomited a little in my mouth when I saw it.

My wife's sister and her husband owned a Pontiak Aztek once. The only benefit I could see was that while you were driving you couldn't see the exterior.

They must like plastic and gimmicks because they own an Avalance now.

Kind of looks like a pre-pubescent Avalanche.
