That is the Police Lives Matter flag. With 4 dead and 7 more wounded in Dallas tonight it's a very sad reminder of the danger our officers face each and every day.

While I sympathize with all sides in this I think this thread has the potential to get out of hand, just my opinion though.

This is true. Unfortunate things have been happening. It will be interesting to learn what really happened in Dallas and what prompted the killers. Was it ISIS? Revenge? Will we ever know the truth?

I certainly don't need to state my opinion here.......
However, one item DOES tie into this Forum. I have spent some time worrying about safety in traversing the USA pulling a camper and staying in unknown spots. It's what we all most likely dreamed of for years, and are finally getting to do........and now I can't help but wonder where is safe and where is not.
Nothing is going to make me stop........that's not the point.
But I have a wife to protect and if there are places that are simply not safe to be, I need to be aware of those.
The closest thing I'll say to being 'political' is that it is MY responsibility to ensure MY safety and hers, and that's exactly what I'll do......

Sad this has become a "us vs them" thing with the police and public.. And the media, talking heads and similar SUCK IT UP!

Latest is 5 officers killed, - 4 Dallas Police and 1 Dallas Area Rapid Transit officer and 1 civilian wounded.
Sad indeed.

One is Missouri shot on a car stop.. Guessing it us the usual cop getting shot, and another ambushed when called to a break in call in GA, maybe, who wanted to kill cops dues to police shootings . Might have been TN where a guy was shooting at people and police over police shootings as well, ironic.
We've moved to two cars on all calls, it delays response now as we site down the street waiting for the second car.. It is a shame, but we will go home.

My full respect and assistance goes out to any LEO in America. They already had a hard enough job before all this craziness started. I'll stop and help any police office that I see that may need help. It's what you do in a herd.

It's sad that it has come to that but it is understandably necessary. Most important for all LEO is getting home every night (or morning)
