Sadness in Southern California

The weekend is only half over and there is a lot of sadness in my area.

In two separate auto accidents 10 young lives were cut short last night. The first accident happened in a construction zone with speed limit of 25 mph. One of the vehicles was fully engulfed in flames. 5 teenagers were killed and another one is in critical condition. 4 of the teenagers killed were recent grads from the high school that I work at. Crisis counselors will be on campus Monday to help students deal with the loss of former classmates. This accident happened around 8:45 pm.

The second accident was a couple of hours later when a car with 5 teenagers was coming home from an amusement park. Their car went off the side of the overpass and upon impact was fully engulfed in flames. All 5 teenagers were killed.

These accidents didn't happen late at night or in poor weather conditions. This is a sad reminder that life is very precious and can be gone in a blink. Hopefully we all stay safe in our travels, RVing or not.
Great choice for "Living within my means" and camping for one...
