SC Ocean Fishing Campgrounds

Anyone have any good suggestions for surf fishing campgrounds in South Carolina or North Carolina? Thinking about heading out for a week in late April. I'm thinking Apache Campground in Myrtle beach.Thanks for any tips, Tubeampdr

We stayed there a few years ago. It was pretty dated then (bath houses). The fishing off the pier was pretty good. Can't say about the surf fishing.

You will probably have to fish early morning or night because of swimming or off pier

One note on surf fishing around Myrtle Beach - shark fishing is illegal in Horry County, so if that was in the plans you might want to head further south towards Murrells Inlet.
Edisto Beach is another great spot with good surf fishing. My son has fished there a lot and caught sharks, redfish, black drum and trout.
