Mine too. They need to investigate rubber plugs to stick in the holes so they are easy to fish out and replace after a bulb change.

Gonna look for a correct size rubber dowel to cut up for the job.

I just filled mine with the Danco grease in FL and it is still in and not leaking out, so I did the same today. Rubber or nylon plugs would be better I agree, the only problem is the holes are not perfectly round where the plug needs to go.
