second fall

Well, I did it again. Wife and I were washing the motor home. I was leaning down to get the bottom edge, with my crutches leaning against the MH. When I stood up, something went wrong. Not sure how I did it, but I spun around and hit the ground hard on my right side, stump first. I was able to scoot over to the MH and my wife opened the door so I could scoot backwards up the steps to be able to stand. When I got in the house, I pulled the stump shrinker sock off and checked the incision, didn't do any damage. But it's been almost 8 weeks and pretty well healed by now. I know I'll be sore real soon. Scared me as much as it did my wife.

Maybe an unstable one legged guy on crutches shouldn't be trying to scrub a MH. I'll let my wife do that and I'll hold the hose. Boy, there's a couple of good jokes in this post, aren't there!

Sorry to hear about your fall - at the same time I am glad you are willing to tell/talk about the many adjustments you are having to make.

Better to burn out than it is to rust, nice to hear it is not slowing you down.

Aside from being sore I'm glad to hear that you are OK. From experience I found that crutches and wet areas don't go well together.

Yikes! Glad you're alright!

I recently had an incident whilst cleaning the TT, too. Ken (hubby) was spraying it down, I was scrubbing for all I was worth with the mop thingy. Tore my rotator cuff! Just as we were preparing for a trip. Oh well. Now Ken has to do all the work!
