Show us your fire pit!

A thread on finding campfire wood had me thinking it would be cool to see everyone's @ home fire pit, or the pits you've set up at your favorite seasonal or occasional campground.

Here's my home pit. I have a lot of cobblestones as garden and lawn borders, so I used a bunch of extra's and a little mortar to build this pit:

Damn Chicky! ... When are you putting in those extra RV sites? So, we can all come out and hang out around that fire!

Wouldn't that be a blast? Man we have had some fires in that thing!! I love it out here in the country! I am a total suburbanite, so this is all new to me.....

Although my fire pit is not as nice as force's, I too am reusing old things. When the tub has outlived its usefulness, I'll replace it with the ring my son made in shop. I also have a portable fire pit that looks exactly like RVChick's.

Here's a good example of how not to do a fire pit.
This is Grass River Provincial Park in northern Manitoba.

That tiny little rusty breadbox-size thing is the fire pit. The grating on top is welded shut. The only opening is facing the Jeep.
Feeding it requires bending way down and trying to not burn your hand as you shove wood through the small opening.
It is not a setup that allows you to stare into the flames or poke the fire with a stick.
It's too bad, as the park is otherwise a very nice place.
