Sitting on the side of I-77

In West Virginia with a flat tire on the Cardinal 5er for almost 3 hours. AAA finally got here only to find out the tire has wrapped around the axel. Now what!?

Different circumstance, but similar problem: a camper that can't be towed. Site member Herk had his pulled onto a truck:

Many times roadside assistance consists of a towing company or other, just sending out a person to install the spare tire on the vehicle/trailer. Depending on the company and the agreements they have with AAA (who contracts it out), etc....they may just dispatch a pickup truck to put the spare tire on.

If it needs towing that can be another animal all together.....and many of these companies do not offer mechanical services on the roadside. They will not attempt to cut/unwrap a shredded tire.......and possibly would not be paid for it, again depending on the service contracts they have with AAA, etc.

Sorry I don't have any good advice for you CardinalQueen. Do you have towing coverage?
