Looks like you didn't cover your RV. Snow caught you by surprise or don't you bother?

Looks as though South Buffalo is going to get 40-60" of snow and the winds are howling off the lake.

ABC News is reporting that 130 miles of the NYS Thruway is closed due to snow. Considering that the Thruway is 496 miles long, that's almost a quarter of it shutdown with more snow expected.

Hope those people have or can get supplies e.g. Fuel, groceries and emergency medical treatment.

People have been stuck on the NYS Thruway for 18 hrs listening to a local talk show and the National Guard is out but unable to help anyone stuck.

Well over 5 feet of the white stuff so far, most likely closer to 6 feet. Still coming down at a rate of 2" to 5" per hour.

This is getting bad, some locations have 60 inches of snow with another 18-24 projected for tonight and possible 12-18 more Thursday to Friday. Thank God people are out on their snowmobiles helping stranded motorists.

Not a lot of snow here but what we have is blowing around so much that you can't see the road from my house. Snow is caking on to everything it hits. The front of my house has about an inch caked on, been out and brushed windows of 3 times today, wish the wind would quit.

My parents and my wife's father live right in the worst area, and we're starting to get a little nervous. Her dad said he hasn't seen this much snow come down in the 56 years he's lived there.

The GREATEST thing about living in Western NY is the people are the best, if they are older and nervous have them reach out to their neighbors everyone looks out for each other doesn't matter in time of need there is no better place to live.....Face it we all have the Buffalo complex so we take care of our own If it helps we could look in on them.

plow just went by for the first time today, they have been pulled off because they can't tell what's drift and what's car with no visibility.

Can make a path to the motor home but would not be able to go down the road. Have not seen a plow sense this all started. Have not even herd a train the last two days. Up to 5 deaths as of this morning.
