Spare tire cover

Well, I just check the trailer today in storage, missing our tire cover. Either strong winds knocked it loose or someone made of with it. As it's has the Salem written on it

Good news, I had contacted the storage place. They found our spare tire cover, apparently gusty winds blew it off. We're pick it tomorrow, and modify the cover with elastic or drawstring or something. Anyone have any ideas thoughts on how you done yours?

I put four grommets in mine and use two bungee cords that fun behind the spare tire holder. I almost lost mine on the way home from the dealer that year when I picked it up. So needless to say that was my first mod.

On our Wildcat I replaced the OEM tires 235-80-16 with LT 235-85-16 tires. They are 1" larger in diameter which make the tire cover fit tight as a tattoo. Matter of fact I had to wait until a 75 degree day to get the tire cover to stretch enough to fit the tire.

The dealer gave us one with a local college logo on it, the elastic is very stiff so one or both of your ideas will work.
