Spent money on necessities.

Well we are just days from leaving on our trip and went to wallymart and got a locking pin for my hitch and a ball lock for the trailer.
Leaving the. 26th bright and early for BC family reunion.
Money well spent. I'm working long hours now and my wife has TT fever. New clothes new things for the TT. She brought runner carpets for the TT and it's all loaded and stored for our journey. She even brought a diaper genie so we don't put tp in the system.
I never have heard of this idea but it makes sense to keep the holding tank free of toilet paper and won't clog up.
Great idea. The guys at the dealer ship told us about that trick.
Since she's going to be the only one using the toilet for the most part. My son and I will use outhouses.
I know it's a phobia with her. It drives me crazy. But now she's content with the idea.
Happy trials y'all.

TP will not "clog up" the system.

Take a couple of squares and put them in a glass of water and let it sit for 30 min or so.

I will bet it breaks down fast.

Ditto on Ford Idaho comment about the TP. With that said, many of us do things that other RVers might not do which is OK especially if it keeps the peace.

Happy travel!

PS
It wouldn't hurt to do the TP test just so you can see for yourself the results regardless of using your wife's system.

I agree tp will not clog the system, but it sure plays havoc with the worthless factory probes if anyone pays any attention to them, which I certainly don't as they didn't work on the 2 new trailers we bought even tho' they had neither had anything but clear water in them. Have never had any of the 3 tanks on the 5er ever read empty. FW tank when drained doesn't even read empty.

We did it because we also thought it a good idea. We will stick with this method. My wife will be the one using it most.

Not a problem, just trying to pass on information.

First rule for black tank: use lots of water when using.

As long as everything is disposed of properly and gets treated as it should there should not be a problem.

The diaper genie to me is just one more thing to deal with that I would rather avoid.

Your trailer, your call!

One thing I know for sure is that Debbie will go TT camping with me now. In ten years she's only gone camping two times. She's not the tenting type. I loved roughing it and she does not. I am creating a monster. Lol

Lol. Glamping. She's far from that. She just has some little phobias.like. Outhouses. Bugs. Dirt. Bears. Ect. She will feel secure and safe and that's just part of my commitment to my wife and son.
Things will be just fine, she's already planing trips after the one next week.
