I like the way you think! Timeless and San Cris are both in my rotation.

Just be aware....

That some people (DW is one of them) is highly allergic to not only the smoke, but the scent/smell of a cigar.

Also, that smoke/scent/smell really carries across a campground. We had a guy 3 slots down and across the street from us who was a nightly smoker and when he started, the DW had to go inside until he was done.

My sympathies to your DW, BamaBob. I know how irritating that must be for her. I should warn you not to camp at L. Brandt's Crazy Acres. We have a number of cigar smokers there, and thankfully nobody has a problem with it... so far.

I too, enjoy a cigar while smoking... usually sitting around the fire; or maybe while reading a book on a quiet afternoon.

Romeo and Juliette's are my first choice; but Cohiba, and Rocky Decade also find their way into my travel case from time to time.

Sometimes with a Scotch, sometimes a glass of red wine...

Are tobacco products heavily taxed in Canada as they are here in the U.S.?

Excellent choices. Try the Decade Cameroon if you haven't already.

Not yet, but the FDA is working on it. If they have their way we'll all be smoking Phillie Blunts.

Yeah - that could happen. Not the government here, but the city of Arlington,Texas (halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth for those who might not know) recently passed an ordinance prohibiting smoking in bars, pool parlors,etc.. it is being appealed, so who knows what the final outcome will be.

Here in Illinois you can only smoke in private clubs or brick-and-mortars that don't serve/sell food. Often times private memberships are one dollar.

I got that wrong in my reply. Canada is worse when it comes to taxes on tobacco and alcohol. Used to take Canadian Club with me to a customer in Toronto - half the price here as it is there.

I'm not a smoker of any tobacco product. But if I were tempted, the pictures you and RVBikers posted would make cigars very hard to resist.

56.5% "sin" tax on tobacco here in Ontario... Then sales tax (13%) on top of that. I bought a bunch of Rocky Decades when I was in Texas last fall - I pay about 30 a stick for them up here, and I think I paid 11 bucks each down there...

And you also can't smoke indoors, on a covered patio, in vehicles if there's anyone under 16 in the car, in public parks, within 9m of the doorway of a public building (that's about 28 feet). They haven't made it illegal to smoke yet - but it's damn close.

Yet they are making weed legal here, by next July... go figure??
