I'm not talking about the catch where the ball was on the foot and never touched the ground- I'm talking about the catch for 1st down in 3rd quarter on 3rd down. it was clearly slid through the hands on the ground- even the commentators seen it. At least on fox- don't know about ESPN ;-)
And the touchdown clearly- the knee was down before the ball was over the line.
But what does it matter? if that would not be the drive, it would had been the next one. The Falcons lost the game at the end of 3rd quarter, as their defense was getting clearly tired.

Just remember the ball does not have to go over the line but just break the plane of the white line. I.e. Front edge.

yes, but this picture was taken, as the knee was already down for a while. technically it was not a touch down.
well...at least the Falcons won the popular vote...

Speaking of comebacks.......

The only thing that stinks about living in New England is the length of hibernation season.

Still another month or so before the cover comes off the MH. For me the 2004 Red Sox come back win in the AL championship was unworldly, the Pats win was historic but down 0-3 and beating the evil empire 4 straight games..yikes. Who'd we play in the Series? LOL

look. the Falcons just felt sorry as they realized how sad all the guys up there in new England are- I mean with all them depressing winters, cold, snow and stuff, that they felt sorry and let you win, that you have at least one thing to be happy about. The falcons will come next year and win it then...

The playoff game against the evil empire was better than the cardinal sweep.

It may have been the biggest come back but about the same results in NASCAR. Look at Jimmie Johnson. Your day will come as with any sport. Not everybody gets a trophy no biggie. Lets see what happens next year. Later RJD

Not a Patriots fan, but I am an objective observer of all things football, and Brady is the GOAT, without question. How many other quarterbacks have won five Super Bowls, how many other quarterbacks have played in seven? Do you know how hard it is just to get to the Super Bowl? Ask a Cleveland Browns fan. If he was an Olympic athlete, we'd be saying, "He has five gold medals and two silver ones. That's pretty great."

DeflateGate: Did the Patriots let some air out of the balls? Yes. Was Brady involved? Probably, or he wouldn't have smashed his phone when Goodell asked for it. Do deflated footballs win you games? No. In fact, since that game, the NFL has been closely monitoring the pressures in all the balls, and the Patriots have actually done better.

Face it, the Pats are just more buttoned up and disciplined than any other team. It pains me to say it, but there it is.

We now return to your regularly scheduled camping discussion...

Looking forward to that! What's the pitching rotation going to be? Sale, Porcello, Price? Could be any combination of those!

This has been a pretty lively topic....we could have similar discussions about what TV we own but the bottom line is they all get our TT to our favorite CG so we can watch our favorite sport team on those rainy days. Hay...spring training is about to start..who is going to win the World Series this year? A Club's repeat?

Can you tell hibernation is getting to me Texas is sounding pretty good to me about now.

Happy Trails
