they give outside and inside temperature
we have a larger unit in our home
bought this small one for our travel trailer

and several more as Christmas stocking stuffers

while out on a little get away with the MountainLady
in their cozy little travel trailer
Mountainman was feeling a little frisky
as he said to his wife

I think that we had better stay in a little while
"just to be safe"

I have installed one in my camper and mounted the outside sensor in my spare tire cover so that it is out of the direct sunlight and rain.

I have a similar unit that I keep the remote sensor in the fridge, and move it outside occasionally to see what that temperature is.

that was my first thought
inside the spare tire cover somewhere
seems to be a good place for it
for now it is hanging somewhere else
but
I'am leaning towards the spare tire area also
under the plastic cover for the propane bottles
came to mind
but
since they hold heat and cold for some time
wouldn't be a good spot

I just got back from WallMart
bought a few more as gifts (neighbors) etc etc
they are making them better than ever now
and the price (9.95) is super sweet

My thinking was as the propane leaves the tank the tank gets super cold and would make the sensor read colder for outside temp than it really was. If it is cold enough outside for the furnace to come on the reading would be way off.

I keep the sensor for the one in the camper loose so I can put it where I want it when we setup. I usually put it on the table under the awning. I can also put it in the fridge to check it.

I picked up one of these at WalMart to carry when I go out with the scouts.

we have not been out much in our
new to us trailer yet
my last outing alone
the fridge went out
noticed at night when I was being wretched
and eating way too many popsicles
noticed that they were getting soft

I think that the reason the fridge went out
my trailer was not very level ??

next time out of here in a little over a week
I'am going to put the sensor in the freezer
at times so as to check
without having to open the freezer door so often

yes I went all out on these THINGS this year
in total it would take a minute to figure out
how many I bought and gave away for Christmas
bought a few of the little more
expensive ones also for gifts

gave one the other day to my mentor old guy friend
he said that he had a large temp gage outback already
so he asked me to give it to his wife
yesterday he told me that
his wife said to be sure to tell Mountainman
that she loves that silly THING
she goes out walking early each morning
one fast look from her bedside
and she knows what is going on outside
