The wife and I went to Carlyle Lake on Thursday to wait for a weekend visit with the grandchildren. A CG host set us up on a site that was 100ft from the play ground.
We had a ball just watching and listening to 4-8 year-olds communicating to each other without parental supervision. It was cute and every now and then, it was a riot when one got upset. Some of the language might even shame a sailor. We rolled laughing listening to the little ones work out their displeasure with one another.
And Saturday, yes, at one point we had to correct our 4 year old grand-daughter that it was not allowed, to throw mulch at the butt of the other girl that called out her lie about being 7 years old.
Great time this week-end, low key, drank beer, cooked, saw the kiddos, had a blast, and made the wife think I am a good guy.
PS. To the young fellow, two sites down, that would not go the basketball court and just dribbled his ball in one spot forever, my brakes are not too good.
Great holiday weekend.
