I wounder if they had to replace all the air sick bags after the flight. I am with you youroo but my trailer does not float so it makes it hard some times not to fly.

Two quotes
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings" (surly - yep, and sometimes down right PO'd)
"Long periods of boredom punctuated by moments of terror"
(Originally described war but really applies to aviation too well.)
And finally, when you hear "Yee-haw!" coming from the cockpit, you know it is pretty exciting up there!

A pilot once told me. ...
The 'only' thing that makes a plane fly.....is 'noise'
Think about that for a while

Nuts? Maybe, but those airplanes have to establish a "Demostrated Crosswind Component" before they can be certified by the FAA - ref 14 CFR 25.237 (a).

Basically this means that an airplane manufacturer has to establish a minimum "Demostrated" crosswind speed that it shown during certification that the airplane can safety land in. It's not a "maximum" cross wind speed and a pilot is not limited to abide to it.

In summary, the decision to land in a crosswind is left up to the Pilot In Command.

Looks like some very good piloting here.

I have thought about that for awhile and still can't understand what it means.

You can't argue with the statistic numbers.

Part of the certification process. There's probably some stuff on the net that shows wings breaking during certification testing.

If the wings were rigid, they would fail during loading in flight. Remember the wings are supporting the entire weight of the airplane in flight.

Some triva - I read that the wings on the B47 would bend about 6-7 feet at the wing tips and the B52 wings would bend about 14-16 feet at the tips. Goggle "Flying The B47" and you see some wing deflection.

It means:
That if the engines stop making 'noise'....that plane is coming down
