Thoughts, Prayers, Good Thoughts for DDC

This is probably the hardest post I have had to write...

Tonight, our FROG community has one less member. Mary Coubrough, wife of Don Coubrough (DDC) passed from this world from complications due to Colorectal Cancer.

I hope that those of you who have attended FROG rallies over the past years will have fond memories of Mary—I know that Anne-Marie and I do and we will miss her terribly.

We have been in frequent contact with Don and Mary since her diagnosis in September 2015, when Don called and said they would not be able to attend BamaGanza. When she realized she was terminal, she told Donald that she wanted him to keep RV’ing and attending FROG rallies after she passed; this broke our heart but at the same time strengthend our resolve that we will see to it that Mary’s wish is carried out.

It is unfortunate that Mary passed so fast that we could not be there to say goodbye or attend her memorial service. So, in memorial to her I want everyone to know that at all future BamaGanza rallies, Don will camp next to us and for free in memory of his dear wife, Mary Coubrough.

I would ask all of the FROG community to take a moment and remember Mary. Even though we have tears in our eyes as we write this, we have a smile on our face as we remember Mary’s smile, her laugh, her special bottle of “tea” and the wonderful friendship and fellowship she brought to the FROG community. We will miss her so badly.

Mary loved camping (except for, perhaps, last year on the way to Goshen when the camp lost water in the middle of her shower ) However, since it is her will that Don continues camping, we say come on over to the campfire Donald… and who is that in the shadows we see looking over your shoulder?

Mary will be dearly missed, she was probably one of the happiest and sweetest ladies we have met in a long long time.
She always came to our little "gatherings" with her little black bag of cheer.
Her laugh, her stories were always a joy to hear. As the night grew later her English brough became a little thicker and more difficult to understand. We will never forget those evenings.

She will truly truly be missed except in our hearts.

We also met Mary at last year's Nashville Rally, and this just breaks my heart. God bless you Don and all who loved Mary! We do hope to see you at future Rallies, doing what you both loved to do!

My heart goes out to Don and his family for their loss. Mary had a great laugh that I always enjoyed hearing. We met Don and Mary and a number of FROG rallies and they were great folks to be around. My prayers and condolences to Don and his family.

Our prayers and sympathy go out to Don and his family. Unfortunately we never got to meet Mary as the BamaGanza rally was our first out of state. I am certain she will be looking down on us as we sit around the campfires and watching out for us as we travel. We are looking forward to meeting you Don at the Mayberry Rally in North Carolina
