LOL Russell! I took a graduate course in comparative Religion class in college..and still have the book

  • Peaceful Solstice - Pagan, celebrated on the Winter equinox, this year it was DEC 22
  • Blessed Saturnalia - Roman December Festival (Pagan)celebrated on 25 DEC. The follow-on celebration of the festival of dies natalis solis invicti, ‘birthday of the unconquered sun’. The "Original" Christmas.
  • Pancha Ganapati - Hindu festival celebrated from December 21 through 25 in honor of Lord Ganesha
  • Happy Chanukah - Jewish festival of the Lights celebrated this year on Dec 6-14.
  • Merry Christmas - Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus on 25 DEC (he was born in early fall though)
  • Joyous Kwanzaa - celebration honors African heritage in African-American culture, and is observed from December 26 to January 1
  • Festive Yuletide - Norse, Celebrated from the Solstice and the following 10 days - Wassail!
