No doubt in my little pea brain.Money talks over at Trailer Life. Seems very year the same.If you advertise with them a lot,you get a award. Some aspects of the magazine are pretty good, but too much advertising compared to the stories and articles.

You'd never posted that if it didn't say something about a Ford in it!

I actually logged in to complete the poll so they do ask but is the response influenced by ownership of a RV business and RV club?

I was surprised the FR even got a bronze. You don't see many FR ads or stories in Trailer Life.

I like reading the stories where TL steps in to resolve a reader's issue with a vendor. Makes you think TL has big sway in the industry.
I take my new TL issues to my personal library(bath room). Seems to go well together.
The magazine is well done and I do read it cover to cover. I give it a 10 out of 10 on the propaganda scale.

Although Ford blue courses thru my veins ... if Camping World got GOLD, the accuracy of Trailer Life's article just flew out the window.

Trailer Life is owned by the same parent company that owns Camping World. Good Sam's Enterprise LLC Marcus Lemonis; need I say more. This is listed on page 4 at the bottom of the Jan 2016 magazine.

The last Escapees poll had just about the same results for the same items that were asked about. Consumers Report has no ads and they don't take any.
I responded with Camping World and they are far better then most. You may be able to get items cheaper online then at Camping World but you need to read how the question was asked.
Do any of you think that Cracker Barrel was not the first choice for sit down diners?

When I had my telecom-related business... I subscribed to a trade magazine. One of the manufacturers got rave reviews... and yes... they spent tons of advertising dollars with that trade rag. I sold some of their systems, and ended up suing that manufacturer. The quality of their product was horrible. I was about to get sued, myself. I ended up replacing their systems with another brand, or just giving them their purchase price back to stay out of court. The manufacturer settled out of court with us. All the while, that manufacturer was still getting rave reviews...
I was a Good Sam member for the first year. The magazine was almost worthless to me. It was nothing but advertising, mostly for Good Sam insurance and Good Sam maintenance insurance... Thanks, but no thanks...

Reminds me of Wine Spectator magazine. A guy started a write in campaign about a fancy (non-existent) restaurant. Got lots of write in votes and WS declared it to be one of the best restaurants in New York.
