Traveling to Canada

Do any of you who "carry" go to Canada? If so, please tell me how?

Ok, I'm gonna spend my tourist $$$$ in the USA. I stay out of states with prohibitive gun laws as much as possible too.

The first question they ask at the border is what country are you from?
The 2nd is do you have any weapons.
You really need to say no and mean it.

Staying out of Canada just because you can't carry is only hurting yourself.
We had a wonderful visit this June and want to go back one day.
Of course it's up to you and I'm NOT trying to start a gun debate.
PLEASE don't do that here.

Just sayin we had a great time, felt totally safe and I'm giving a tip of
the ole ballcap to our Canadian neighbors for being such gracious hosts!

I have lived in Canada, southern Ontario to be precise since 1977 and have never even seen a gun, don't know anyone who owns one and I have never known anyone who has felt they needed one. Farmers, hunters cops and some of the criminal elements have them but generally the guy next door does not. Sorry you are going to miss a nice country.

GO to your local-----------------

Go to your local bank, make arrangements with a bank near the border crossing for a safe deposit box. Leave your "CARRY" with the bank, when you return, retrieve your "CARRY".

Or leave your "CARRY" at home!!

After you are ask if you have any guns, the next question is "DO YOU HAVE A CONCEALED PERMIT" When they ask you, they are looking at the computer
that has the info already right before them! Yes or no! They will also ask you
can they search your RV/TV for any weapons!

How do I know, I was looking at the same screen he was looking at. The info was right before him!

So make your decision before you leave home!

If you're not coming to Canada, at least enjoy some of our humour.

This is the transcript on an ACTUAL radio conversation of a US Naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October, 1995. Radio conversation released by the Chief of Naval Operations 10 - 10 - 95.
Americans: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the North to avoid a collision.
Canadians: Recommend you divert YOUR course 15 degrees to the south to avoid a collision.
Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.
Canadians: No. I say again you divert YOUR course.
Americans: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS LINCOLN, THE SECOND LARGEST SHIP IN THE UNITED STATES` ATLANTIC FLEET. WE ARE ACCOMPANIED BY THREE DESTROYERS, THREE CRUISERS AND NUMEROUS SUPPORT VESSELS. I DEMAND THAT YOU CHANGE YOUR MEASURES WILL BE UNDERTAKEN TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THIS SHIP.
Canadians: This is a lighthouse. Your call.
