Yellowstone National Park Grizzly Bear Attack Leaves Hiker Dead - YouTube
Part of the "awareness of surroundings" of a defensive "not be a victim" mind set would have had that couple do a 180 as soon as they saw the bears.

Once the bear attacked; being able to come to your own defense (with gun or spray) would have been a force multiplier. It may not have worked; but at least you would have gone down fighting and not like "dinner."

Guns are prohibited in bars and anywhere the owner of any establishment decides he doesn't allow guns.

Do you think alcohol should be illegal since people get drunk and kill other people? By your reasoning it should be.

Do you think if everyone carried guns criminals would be less likely to rob banks?

For some good info!

Go to this page and scroll down. Florida does recognize a lot of states for conceal carry. You do not have to live in Florida or the US to get a conceal to carry in Florida. Gun safety course, FBI background check.
Florida and Utah both require a minimum of 4 hours of range time with a qualified instructor OR an Honorable Discharge from the military that shows firearm qualification in order to get that the "gun safety" course requirement filled. You, of course, still need the background check.

This is just what they said would happen "in the back room."
I asked VERY nicely to keep it focused on the thread's purpose.

Information for those who choose to travel LEGALLY with firearms and NOT justification as to why they do.

I will be editing out everything not related to that mandate and closing the thread. I REALLY would have liked to hear from some police officers; but it is not to be.
