Congrats OC, to you and that pretty grand daughter.

I can tell which of your sons is her father! It's in the eyes.

You bet we're proud, the whole family is popping buttons, top 7% of her class to include Summa Cum Laude, National Honor Society, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta and National Honors Arts Society.

Thanks David and everyone. So true from this one especially since we just about lost her when she was only 3. Long story started with med flight from Anchorage, AK to Seattle and a very happy ending.

Congrats to her and the family! You all should be proud.

I work at a high school and too often we see seniors dropping the ball especially during their last year. My hat is off to your grand daughter for staying the course.

OC, you have every reason to be very proud of her. Your Kayla reminds me of our Kate. She sounds like a lovely and accomplished young lady.

There's something about granddaughters that gives them a special ability to wrap us around their little fingers. We have eight of them (along with eight grandsons) who are all very good at it.

Congratulations, OC, to Kayla, her parents, and you and TOWTA. What's next on the educational front for her? Where's she headed for college?

BTW, she must get her good looks from Frankie's side of the family!

She goes to freshman orientation @ UNC Asheville Wed 18Jun and starts classes 22Aug. She already has somewhere around 15 hrs college credit from taking honors classes the last 2 or 3 yrs. This year was all honors classes.

Good for her, I was afraid she was gonna go to the dark side. Unc is a great school (I'm only a little biased since I work for unc hospital). I wish her well.

That young lady is *going places*, OC, mark my words. The more you share with us, the more impressed I am with her and her accomplishments. You have SO much to be proud of, and thankful for, with her.

And she's starting classes on my birthday.

Please pass on our congratulations to her!
