we have camping neighbors from hell what about neighbors at home

Camping neighbors from hell has been discussed, but what do you do about a house neighbor that has no respect for the safety of your property? Neighbor has a dead cottonwood tree it's leaning right towards my Building in which I store my TT in. It's eventually going to fall and I know it's going to hit my building/TT judging by the way it's already leaning. My insurance company say if his dead tree falls and damages my property they will go after him. I have talked to him months ago.. as you can see he's done nothing and likely won't....

Yep. You should be all set. The insurance company will pay you any damages you have if that tree falls on your property.

No worries.

Vin.

Well it's dead, and dead wood burns, quickly. 5 gallons of diesel and watch it go!

Well, no one is close enough to worry about around here and any dead trees are my own!

About midnight go over hook a rope 10 to 15 ft up the tree then hook it to the trailer hitch on a truck, make sure you have enough rope so it doesn't come down n the truck. Then when it comes over untie it and make out like you know nothing. Use statements like did you hear that wind come up last night or what happened and what ever you do don't smile or laugh.

And we were inside when it happened. Neither of us got a scratch. The Man Upstairs was sure looking after us that night!

Our Neighbour put his house up for sale the day we left for Nashville, it sold and they move next week. What a gift for the whole neighbourhood and liability worries on the trailer getting damaged due to some type of kid throwing something

When my healthy tree lost a big limb in a storm onto my neighbor's garage his insurance had to pay for his garage. Wasn't bad but the property line is the line...here anyway.

I agree with post #6. It's easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission.

Who doesn't love a good dead tree in their yard! If it was in my yard it would be gone before you had a chance to get a picture.

Nothing like good neighbors... and there's nothing like bad ones, either... We've had both. We ended up suing one of them. In the end, they lost the suit, filed bankruptcy, and eventually lost the house. We got good ones in their place... but it was expensive and very troublesome. What a shame. You just can't reason with some folks.

They say it was a tornado that didn't touch down. Funny thing is the tree actually hung over the street to the north and did not have a single limb hanging over the house. We had had it trimmed just 2 weeks prior. It even broke a 5' tall double girder beam in the detached garage and unhooked one end of a 4' fluorescent light. $18,000 damage to that garage and they totaled the house. Tore it down to the slab and started over from scratch.

We've got neighbors like that - Father and 2 Twenty-Something sons. I've been contemplating suing them for infringing on my constitutional rights to life, liberty, and happiness as they are always fighting, usually in the middle of the night, cops are out every 8-10 days, kids are afraid to play outside, drugs, drunkiness, etc.

I want to take possession of their house, tear it down, and park my camper in the yard.

Finally did call the county, and they listed it as a nuisance property, anytime the police get called the father gets arrested - even if it was the boys fighting.

It's not perfect, but it's certainly better than it was.

Oh - and their tree that hung over in my yard - I had a tree guy sheer it straight up from my fence line - in Delaware you can do so if it's hanging over your property line.

We sent our neighbor a registered letter pointing out their tree was distressed and a hazard. Florida law states if a known distressed tree causes damage, the homeowner is fiscally responsible for damages. She had the tree removed and we all lived happily ever after...

My one neighbor is a very rude and I can't explain it in words that are allowed on this site. So, I screw back with them just like they do to everyone else. After the 2nd month of getting there own medicine prescribed back at them they got the picture
