To clarify:

The phone (OnePlus One) on Straight Talk is a BYOP on the AT&T network. It has a built in hotspot, so no need for FoxFi. When you bring your own phone, you choose what network you want, as there are 4 different network sim cards in the starter package.

My phone (Droid Turbo) is on Verizon and I subscribe to their hotspot service.

That gives us two options on the road, with each providing wifi.

Alas, it seems you cannot change your vote. I voted Other before you had it listed.

I used to use a tracfone pay as you go until Rogers came out with roam like home

You pay $150 a month for one phone? I would hope it would drive you home for that much . . .

My work provides me with an ATT phone and a Verizon tablet. I have no idea how much they cost, but they both seem to work well enough wherever I am.
Sprint is my provider for personal phones. Right at $200.00 per month for four phone lines with unlimited text and roaming. They share 1500 minutes, but it's rare anybody makes a call that draws on those minutes. I got talked into a "free" Samsung tablet, then learned data for tablets isn't the same as data for phones. Makes no sense, but there it is. Anyway, Sprint's tablet data plan totally sucks, so I have it set to 10 meg (that's right) for $10.00 per month, and only use it at home on wifi.

Our primary phones are T-Mobile unlimited everything and our plan never throttles the data speed. We can't have limited data because I use about 20gb a month and the hubby uses about 60gb per month. ETA: Cost is $50/month per line.

We also have minutes through Verizon through our truck (Onstar). These are pay as you go phone minutes and data. We have never had to use them. But we bought them in case we reach a dead area with T-Mobile. ETA: cost is the standard Onstar cost

So far, it's been fine from Fl- Fundy National Park Canada and also from FL- Las Vegas, NV we had no dead spots all though we did get down to one bar out in rural Texas and NM.
