I spent 20 years in the Marines, and now work as a Civil Servant on Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island. Before I retired I attended the local tech college and took every class they had on HVAC and commercial refrigeration. Worked for a local company for about 8 months, (I loved that job) got my NATE certification in heat pumps, A/C, and a bunch of other stuff and this current job "fell in my lap" out of the blue, I couldn't pass it up. Not a single thing to do with HVAC!! Still do the HVAC stuff for friends and family. DW is a HS teacher and just finished her Masters and going through the process to become an assistant principal.

Retired law enforcement. 32+ yrs. DW does nuclear medicine at local hospital. Wants me to get another job. Ha. Like I have time for another job with all I do. Hunting, fishing, camping, keeping up the yard, surfing my forums, volunteering with southern baptist disaster relief, church, etc. Oh well. Put in a resume last week. Dog died so I have a little time in my schedule.

I was the service manager/technician at a HVAC company until my pretzel like spine put me on disability. Had surgery and got my Associates Degree in Electronic Technology. Went back to work in machine maintanence working on industrial robots and large CNCs polishing machine as a supervisor over maintenance crews in 5 buildings over all shifts. That company is a top tier chrome plater and polisher for Harley Davidson. Did this for 10 years until the pretzel spine put me back on disability.
I miss that job.

The DW is a CPA and tax manager at an accounting firm.
