What do we all do to pay for our camping trips

Spent 21 years as a police officer (bobby) in London, England before emigrating to Canada. Worked as a traffic cop ( highway patrol - hence the avatar), a traditional beat cop reporting everything under the sun from burglaries to murder and then finished up on the counter terrorist unit as a sniper. Since moving to Canada, worked as a bylaw traffic enforcement officer until getting my current job as the manager for Protective Services in the provincial health authority.
Now cram as many days camping as possible and 'work from home' occasionally with the firms cell phone and laptop to help extend the available away time.

DW runs her own preschool and only does M - Th, finishing in mid June through September. Back in the old country she was the principal at a local infant school.

Ummm well....

"I'm from the (Federal) Government and I'm here to help."

Paraphrasing President Reagan.

President Ronald Reagan called the phrase “the nine most terrifying words in the English language” in 1986.

For the next 27 days I'll be in the military, then retirement after over 27 years of service. DW is a contractor for the military. Looks like I'll have to get a real job now. LOL.

My wife and I own a Boarding Kennel and have been vacationing through our clients for the last 20 years since we can't get away much. With a new fifth wheel on the way that better change. I have been working it full time since June of 2003 when I quit my regular job.

DW's full time job the last 36+ years has been at the Cleveland Clinic. 17 years in Cardiac Surgery and currently is doing research in Cardiovascular Medicine. Loves the job but the 34 miles one way to work is getting old. She's got the time in to retire and once the trailer is here that may make up her mind.

See you all in Goshen in 2014....

DW is a retired high school English teacher, and I retired after 35 years as a school transportation director, the last 10 years in the same district where the DW taught.

I also hold a USCG 100 ton Master's license (inland waterways) with assist towing endorsement. We boated for many years, and I thought with holding a captain's license I would go get a cool retirement job. Turns out I like retirement a little too much...sold our boat, bought an RV, and, well...

Direct deposit for SS and retirement checks is the best invention ever!

I may have the best

Started out of college selling raw pharmaceuticals and biologicals with my degree in chemistry

For the last 25 years I have run a fishing charter business on Lake Michigan Leland Fishing Charters by Northwest Charters. In the winter I teach skiing to the general public and also travel the midwest training and evaluating other instructors.

I too am collecting social security from the loan I gave to the government.

I've been in IT for 19 years, the last 8 with one of the largest software companies in the world (courtesy of acquisition). For the past 2 years my team has been responsible for setting up network & server hardware @ various colo facilities in the US and EMEA for my company's public cloud products. My capital budget for FY14 was over $100M, and FY15 doesn't appear to be slowing down...

DW is a full time Mom and part time substitute teacher at the local high school

Overtime pays for special trips and regular ones are in the budget.
