D/W is a retired RN. I did everything from session and "pick-up" musician to aerospace flight test and telemetry engineering, from which I retired after 23 years.
I owned a TV store in the 70's, taught Electronics Technology at Idaho State University, worked on remote microwave and communications sites for several Gov't agencies, owned a Radio Shop designing systems for, and working on radios for local Law Enforcement agencies, Fire Departments, EMS , and farms and ranches.
I never wanted to go in to Aerospace, because I'd heard that they were unstable employers, laying off whenever there weren't contracts, but after I went to work for Northrop, I never worried about any of that. It took me 3 years to finally get retired, and they bonused me very well for those three years.
Do I miss it? Heck no, except for knowing what is going on in the Black World.
