An update for us. Just over a year ago I took a position with our local utility and now I am a state certified waterworks operator, working on my wastewater certification. My wife is still at Ashley but is now in a management position in the corporate office. Life has been good to us the last couple years!

I retired from the Air Force after 21 years. During that time, I was (officially) a Weapon Control Systems (WCS) Technician on the F4-E/G aircraft, a Munitions Accountability Superintendent. and a Munitions (AMMO) Superintendent. The munitions jobs were the result of an AFSC merger. When I got out, I worked as a Product Support Technical Representative for a major software company for 15 years. The last 3 years I have been working on a Network Administrator certificate. I lack a single math class to be official.

DH retired from the Air Force after 22 years. He started out as a Munitions Loader, then retrained into computers, communications and satellites. His civilian jobs have kept him working with various defense contractors, both on the hardware and software sides.

We met long after our kids were grown and our military retirements were final.

There's a dying breed! An independent trucker! My dad and brother are owner operators. They only operate in the Pacific Northwest though. I am kind of an independent, I only truck for a couple months out of the year.

I have been an RN for the last 18 yrs all in the same community hospital. Met my wife here, she is an RN also. Just turned 48 and have a 14 yr old daughter just starting high school. I really would like to retire at 62 but we will see what the good Lord says about that.
