What does this switch control?

Having only owned this 5er 3+ years, we just discovered a switch above the sink that we have no idea what it controls. Can't even get it out of the overhead cabinet. It is directly under the microwave, but doesn't control it or the duplex receptacle next to it as we plugged a night light into the outlet. I will pull the microwave out tomorrow and see where the wires go if possible.

Is it a kill switch for the microwave? Our Laredo only had 30amp service and had a kill switch for microwave that was tied to the fireplace

Could not run both at same time

It turns on and off your neighbors porch light at night. on a more serious note, I have light switches under my cabinet that control a soft light above my cabinet only noticeable in the dark.

My old class-A Winnebago had a switch that served no apparent function. I tried every outlet, every light fixture and every component in the camper and as far as I could tell, it did nothing.

One day in sheer frustration and curiosity, I pulled the switch out with the intention of following the wires to their terminus. Turns out, there were no wires attached to the switch at all. I guess someone at Winnebago messed up and installed a switch for an option that my coach did not get.

That would not be out of the realm of possibilities with yours. You might have to start digging to see where it goes, if anywhere.

Thanks, that's what it's for. Now I have to get the switch re-anchored.

In my Wildcat 5th wheel, I have a switch in my hall near the steps. IT does control a small LED light over the steps as a night light. But the only time you know it's on is in total darkness.

It controls the ceiling fan/light in our unit. OCW was right on his suggestion. Had to remove the microwave to reinstall the switch. Penalty for having a bad case of CRS.

Have you found the brown colored switch under the overhead cabinets on the curb side of trailer that controls a single light fixture? Hold on, I'll send the white dog to point it out!

I know what that one is for, I added it when I put a clear outside light above the bbq grill and before I added the awning lights. BTW, we used a label maker and labeled the brown switch AND the white one in case CRS kicks in again.

What about a fan switch for fan(s) in the vent shaft behind the refrigerator.
