What is this marine vessel?

This boat is on Sauvie Island near Portland Oregon.
Does anyone have any info about it?

I don't think it would have been left out there if it was. I've heard of one other. The top was removed and was used as a roof for a carport type of thing.

Wow! That was recent! I don't recall seeing that one although I may have and just wrote it off in my head as an old boat.
I did contact the Maritime Museum about the tri-hull and they knew nothing about it. They asked me to let them know when/if I get some info.

Yes I had better things to do, no I didn't do them...

The vessel is listed on page 9 of the following report dated March 2012 - Derelict Vessel Task Force Progress Report. According to the report this vessel may have been removed earlier this year. Anyone in the PNW want to go treasure hunting? Caution as this is a clothing-optional beach.

I think I may have located it on Google Maps as well. UFO on Collins Beach, Sauvie Island. To find it:
- look for the "Collins Beach" placeholder dot (there is a small boat anchored just off shore from this point)
- zoom all the way in and proceed Northwest
- look for the square umbrella/roof that is brown in color
- continue northwest about 1 screen, there is a white "ball" that appears to be a post with a shadow
- about 1/2 screen to the west-northwest is a partial tan circle with 3 bumps
- There appears to be a set of fallen trees to the immediate northeast that looks like a skeleton hand

It appears to be a"concrete boat" very popular in the mid 70's-mid 80's. Cheap to build and would last a very long time. I think this one has had its day on the water altough there does not look to be any marine growth on the tri-hull. must have been built then abandoned.

That is an old Life boat, the windows and hardware have been removed.
Cheers

Have you read and looked at pics of the Mulberry harbors they built and floated across the English Channel in WWII? Monstrous concrete boxes they floated over and when they got to the beach area, sank them with fuel and built bridges over them. There was one still visible when we visited the Arromanches, FR area and where the Normandy Invasion took place. They built 2 lane roads over them. Absolutely amazing. Note the size of the person out by the big concrete box that was floated across the channel.
