What other interests besides Camping/Touring ?

I'm sure all here have interests (besides working) other than Camping & Touring, what are they ?

Personally I've been active in BMW E60 M5 and BMW E31 850 series forums

Also very into cooking and recipies

Now have joined a CHL forum and in the process, along with my Wife, of getting our CHLs - that and researching something that will be suitable for Her.....Bill

We snowmobile during the winter months.

As a family we average 2500 to 3500 miles a year

Triathlon (as my name implies). The wife and I have raced for a number of years and actually try to combine it with camping whenever possible.

Cooking has always been a hobby and I've just recently re-discovered photography.

That's all for now - just not 'nuff hours in the day.

With two young kids in our life, seasonally rec sports consume a lot of our time. We try to do as much trail hiking with the kids within a car ride distance away also. With our limited time we no longer ATV trail ride but see that coming back once the kids get older.

I keep up with strength training, not as aggressive or trim as back in college when I was going all out along with trail/mountain biking.
I use to ride sport bikes but wife reminded me it wasn't wise once the kids came along to chase down the 1/4 mile track doing 130-140 mph!

ATVing, hunting and fishing. Most of these are combined with camping whenever possible. I also enjoy woodworking and home improvements.

Bagpiping, with the City of Brockville Pipes and Drums. They even let the 'Yanks' come play with them. Weekends become busy with Parades both in the US and Canada, and University Commencement Ceremonies!

Harleys, Cornhole, off roading, photography, obscure board games, my home theater, and the finer brands of grain alcohols. Not all at once. Never all at once.

Thats all I got time for

We compete in KCBS sanctioned BBQ competitions and the occasional chili contest. We do this as a family as much as possible and camp at most of them. This has taken us to places I never would have otherwise been!

If it would ever get cold enough to freeze the lake I would be ice fishing. That is my winter hobby. I can usually ice fish until march. Then I will start getting ready for camping again.

First off, two energetic kids (7 and 4) so very little time for other stuff.
When time is available, flat water kayaking, hikes, railroad buff (HO scaler). Before kids, I was a volunteer SAR pilot with the USAF Auxilliary (Civil Air Patrol) and I'll be getting back into the organization next year.

Primary hobbies are ham radio and wood carving. Amazing how many people will stop when you are carving at the picnic table.
