Got the bose sound bar for the home tv. We never listen to the tv speakers anymore. You are not going to believe the quality of sound that comes from those little speakers. Just amazing.

I've heard it, while I'm impressed with Bose in general, I prefer mini Jambox by Jawbone....

I looked at one of those to.
Albeit the sound volume went "higher" than the bose I think the sound quality was just a touch better in the bose.
But I could be wrong and if I am OC will tell me in short order.

The Bose are nice, but heavy and expensive.
Got one of this for the camper, and we love the sound!
And also charges the phone. $129 on sale, fits under the tv and last 14 hrs.

What's the purpose of this speaker? If I'm listening to music inside or outside, it's running through the Genesis system.

Ok- so it's a sound quality thing. Makes sense. Having hearing issues is a benefit more than you can imagine!

I have to say the external speakers on the Rockwood are sub par x2. Was thinking of getting one of these to use with the external TV in the cargo bay.

Everything Bose makes sound great. Theynhave the best sound quality out there. I picked one of these up at COSTCO for $79.00. It's rugged enough to drop and throw around and still sounds pretty good. It's getting thrown into the storage bay on the first day of Spring, if nor sooner.

AAARRRGGGHhhhh! DO NOT BUY BOSE!

As someone who takes his audio seriously, I gotta warn you that Bose is overprice, under quality kludge. Bose makes/made some good stuff (the 901's in particular), but their consumer products division exists only to separate the uninformed from their money. They market their stuff as Extra-Hyper Premium, and at best its run of the mill. You should question why Bose does not publish specs on their systems.

Take the Bose Accustimas10 system. The 'subwoofer' has three 5-1/2" speakers in a 7th order bandpass configuration. The left and right (and rears) are puny little dual paper cone 2-1/2 speakers. All for $999.00! oh boy! Honestly, that system is worth about maybe $300-$350 tops. Bose uses slick, clever marketing, and custom "demo" units in Best Buy to lure customers. Notice that you can only play their (bose) demo media as a tryout. its specifically optimized to reduce the flaws of their system. Of course, it sounds way better than the little speakers you get in your TV, and for some people, that's enough. But you do not get what you pay for.

For about the same money, I bought a BiC Accoustech system with dual 8" woofer/6" Horn tweeter towers, two 6-1/2 wall mount surrounds, dual 8"woofer/6" horn tweeter center channel and a 1000 watt BASH amplified 15" subwoofer (weighs 52lbs!). I guarantee you that this system will make a Acoustimass 10 setup sound like an AM transistor radio. And look WAY better too. Link to my speakers BIC Acoustech PL-89II Home Theater System - NEW!

sorry to go off on a rant, but I hate people wasting their money on overpriced cheap stuff because nobody told them better. You can do better than Bose. In this case the JAWBONE jambox is a great little setup. I have one at work, and it sounds fantastic. For a whole lot less.

Tim.

Playing my system at THX reference levels has knocked pictures off the walls during explosions and the such. Even I cant take too much of it, but I like being able to show off.

I heard a guy say once, No highs, No lows, must be Bose. I have no idea myself, that just always stuck with me.

I don't have the ear for it, but I've heard the same thing.

I have thought of one, but just use my outside speakers with my phone hooked up to the audio system in the trailer.
