Who cooks and cleans while camping?
I am just wondering who does the cooking and cleaning while you are camping. The DW does it at home but when we go camping I do all the cooking and washing of the dishes. I think that is why she likes to go camping so much, it's like a vacation from everything for her.

Whoever cooks, cleans up the cooking mess, whoever eats, cleans up thier own mess.except at night when I med and feed the dogs, thats all on me because they (dogs) cant reach the sink to do thier own dishes.

We just came back from a 10 day trip.
At home DW cooks, I usually do the clean up.
On the road she usually cleaned up after the meal. She said since it's such a small area it was easier for her.
So I keep the rest of the RV clean, vacuum or sweep, bathroom sink, shower etc.

I know several people that camp and it seems the wives always do the cooking and cleaning while the guys sit and drink so I want to see if I was out of the norm. I don't mind doing it while camping, I cook and clean everything outside and I enjoy it. Whatever keeps the DW happy and wanting to go camping!

I cook and clean. I love it! Hubby maintains the outside, I maintain the inside, just like at home!

Same here. But he does like to grill so he takes care of the cooking and cleanup of that. Otherwise, I am very territorial of MY kitchen. Besides, when he cooks, there's a much bigger mess afterwards than if I had done the cooking myself. And he's not much of a one for doing dishes.

The first 40+ years she cooked & cleaned.
Now it's my turn for that chore since I retired first.
It's shopping for groceries, planning meals, cooking, and cleaning ( )!
Then she goes behind me and re-cleans after I cleaned.

We both do a little of both but the DW does the most I'm not allowed to mess with her good pans I have ruined several...(the last I tried making French toast & totally fried the pan it was trash afterwards )... also she doesn't want to get sick....... Our worst problem my clean & her clean are two different things......

DW has had a rule about vacations for the last 30 odd years - she doesnt cook period. Its carried over to camping in the motorhome so we eat out. She does make the coffee in the morning.

My wife loves cooking. Home, mom's, RV, campfire. Doesn't matter. I clean up any outside items used, the kitchen is hers. Just ask her. Lol

Who cooks and cleans while camping?
We share the cooking duties but have the same rule as at home - the person who cooks does not have to clean up the dishes. It may be why I do most of the cooking. As far as the rest of the cleaning - she maintains the inside and I do the outside. Has worked for us for 28 years.

DW does the shopping, I do almost all the cooking, she usually does dishes (although we use good paper plates a LOT).
Inside she does the sweeping and cleaning, I take care of the outside.

If I cook, he does the dishes, if he cooks, I do the dishes. Other then that when it's time to close up and go home I clean the inside he takes care of the outside.
