Who said you don't need a slider?
Glad I got one and never use it.

Looks like Max (the dog) broke out of Turb's D-Max (the truck).

I've got a slider and have yet to use it either... BUT... it's there in case I ever need to!

No damage to the cab? The trailer would hit the cab first. Sometime else hit that window.
I have a slider and never used it but I'm glad I got it.

Yikes! I got a Curt 16K slider in my garage because I never used it so I switched to a non-slider and ironically have my slider up for sale. Hum?? Maybe I should think about this a little more.

I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

With the rig in my sig file I found that the trailer WILL clear the cab IF the ground is flat and level.
Which made me lazy and complacent. "I don't need the slider after all!" I said to myself.
Which then put a big dent in the back of my cab because my street has an uphill grade and so does my driveway.

Well, you don't have to worry about the clearance factor anymore...

I have always said there are two type of people who own a 5th wheel and a short bed truck. Those that have hit the cab and those who will hit the cab with the 5er.

Not always so.
My uncle's 5th wheel hits dead center in the middle of either side pane of his sliding rear window if he turns hard enough. Seen him do it. No damage to the cab at all.

Mine would hit the corner of the cab, too, before it hit the window.

Look at the picture again, the glass is falling out of the cab.
I agree different 5er, hitch, truck makes a difference, but Every picture I've seen had cab damage.
