Yum! Deer bologna that my step-data used to have made was the best.

Never had that. Had summer sausage tho. It is good. Here's a bacon wrapped deer ham. Some add bacon because deer is "fat free." Ha.

My wife has friends on the brazos and loved going there before we got married. I've never been but it sounds nice.

Dave, if we come to see the lights in Natchitoches, I'm eating with you.

Ok, can I complain for a moment? I have been building a spreadsheet for a trip itinerary planning. But, the sad part is this total/breakdown summary at the bottom:

Campground costs:
$164

Fuel Cost:
$602

Polar Express:
$146

Christmas Town:
$75

Total:
$987

Over 2/3 of my predicted total comes simply in fuel to make 1,500 miles (1,250 for the round-trip and 250 "misc" extra miles) figuring 10 mpg and $4/gallon for diesel.

Now we might cut out a huge chunk of the trip.

Come on down here. We're around 3.79 for diesel, 80¢ per gallon more than gas. But lower than your diesel. :-)

Heh, that'll save me $16 over the course of the trip. If someone had a magical improved mileage pill to get me 15mpg and cost for $3/gallon- I'd be SET.

Now that we are a family of 4 and little man is eating a meal on his own- even McD's is a $25+ affair.

We're headed to Lake Murray State Park in Oklahoma. We've never been to this park but hear it is nice. Looking forward to it!

It's called a gasser truck towing a pop up/hybrid camper to get those #'s!

I'm pretty sure Nike stole that from the credit card companies.

Darling daughter offered to give up Christmas presents from us so that we could go.

Know what ya mean......... if you do come down to NC fuel up in Virginia we are about 30 cents a gallon less than NC. In Martinsville Diesel is 3.53-3.59 a gallon.
