Mine was a 66 Mustang V8 coupe I bought off my sister for $400.00. I sold it two years later to buy her boyfriends 70 Challenger with the 340 Magnum. I wish I hgad them both today!
Hahaa! Mine was a 1979 silver Pinto! This thing had the worst tires ever! I had no experience and did not know what was normal or not, but driving pn highway, the car would sway left and righ whenever I hit the tire rut on the highway! No exageration. I used to be scared shitless driving this thing!
Hummm, kinda like me trying to learn to drive a truck and trailer lol

74 Toyota Celica GT . It was a hand me down from my older brother. Not much left to it when I got it in 77, but it served me well through my college years. Prior to thank I used my grandfathers 72 plymouth Fury 11.
My first car was a seamist green 1959 Volkswagen Beetle. That might be it in front of your Ford Perfect. It had a massive 37 HP engine. It was a great car, until some guy ran into the rear of it, while I was stopped at a stop sign at the junction of Highway 64 and Route 66 near Williams, Arizona in 1969. Ruined a trip to Vegas; and he never paid my deductible, even though I got a judgement. Beware of New Yorkers in Mercury Sedans.

Hey I had a black 74 as well when we were in Germany. Had 1600cc with dual side draft webbers.

Oh, Kraco...
Man, 8 tracks were before my time, but Kraco has been around. Back in the cassette players and in trunk CD changers, I worked at a car stereo shop here in town. This was just outside the front gate of Camp Pendelton. The whole area was loaded with these BS car dealers preying on E2s and E3s.
Our shop had a cut rate deal with most of them to put in the radios and alarms. It was the cheapest junk installed into the cheapest junk. But it kept us busy and it was a lot of money to make when I was that young.
These same crappy cars would end up back at our shop the next payday installing all the other cheap crap we stocked. I was the youngest guy, so I didn't get to work on the big money cars... But, I can put a Kraco in a Caprice in 3 minutes with my eyes closed.

I forgot to mention that : my old 1952 Ford Prefect was very problematic with the three speeds transmission. It was always jumping the 2nd gear and a old driveway mechanic suggested to put bananas in the transmission to make the oil thicker which I did but did not help at all to solve the problem!!!!!
1971 Dodge Demon, 340 4-spd
Power to weight ratio was insane, and the girls would SCREAM!
Way too much car for a 16-yearold, but was it ever a blast!
Got hooked and owned many since, from Challenger convertibles to 440-6Pack Chargers, many of them worth in the 6-figures today. If I had only kept them all................
1953 Studebaker Commander, not this color though, mine was red on the bottom...

1968 Fiat 850 Spider (red one in photo, circa 1972). My dad bought it for me to drive to university. Thanks to my dad, he created a life long interest in Fiats and I have never been without one ever since. Have had several that I used to race.
Currently have two Fiat restoration projects. One is a '66 Fiat Abarth 1300/124. It's a high performance version made by Abarth and is based on a stock Fiat 850 coupe. About 250 or so were originally made and now there are only a handful left in the world. Here is one photo of what the car looked like when I got it. The last photo is what it will look like when finished.
Would love to get a new Abarth 500 when they are available.
1964 Chevy Chevelle Malibu SS with 42,000 original miles. Came with a strait 6 and was loaded with chrome under the hood. Valve covers, oil fill cover, etc. I bought it in 1978 for $250. The elderly dude I bought it from hit the corner of his garage so it had some body damage on the right rear quarter panel. The front carpet was rotted (I suspected he relieved himself in it a few times....I know, disgusting, right???), so we replaced it. Then we replaced the transmission because you had to add a quart of transmission fluid every day. Then we put in a new motor, since the original leaked like a sieve too (well, not new, a 350 from a '72 Chevy impala; same place the transmission came from, i think) but we salvaged all the original chrome under the hood. It was a awesome car; I wish I would have kept it. Sold it for $1,000 about 3 years later after this guy had been bugging me for what seemed like an eternity!!! Sure wish I had that car today!! What did I know...I was young and female
