Hello, my name is Ed Luke. We bought a new 2017 3456RL Cardinal back in February. We keep it at a campground in Kentucky full time. Obviously, it is hooked up to shore power. While we were there this weekend, the whole county experienced a power outage. We saw that the refrigerator lights did not come on when the shore power went out. I was told by the dealer that it would run on battery when that happened. After reading everywhere here on the forum, it appears that our inverter may not be on or not plugged in. I read one owner who found their transfer switch wasn't plugged in and that was their problem.
My question to you, since you say you turn your inverter on and off, is where do you do that? My 3456RL has the OneControl panel. I haven't seen anything on that panel to turn off or on the inverter. I am not at the camper until this weekend, so i can't look until then. Congrats on your camping lifestyle. When we retire in a couple of years we want to do the same.
