We have a 2008 model 650 V Star. Bike has done well. 13,000 miles, only regular maintenance. The tires won't go much farther, but what do you expect. We are happy with ours, (hers). Can't comment much on the 1100, but close to same bike, slightly heavier frame, disc brakes all around, just a 650 on STEROIDS......lol. I do hate the Unleaded Gas Restriction in the tank filler neck, but guess it is required since the bike has catalytic convertors built in the mufflers.

Windrider I spoke to you a while ago about the V star.I have a chance to get a brand new leftover 2010 V star 1100 custom at what I think is a good price.To your knowledge is this a good bike or do you know of any problems with it as I intend to keep it a long time.
