You should check your air box and see if Coachmen left the bright blue shipping cover on the front snorkel as they did on my coach. Good grief. I see to be the pathfinder for undone deployment of Coachmen Ford chassis. LOL

The main intake is off to the side (pointing toward the curb) but there is another intake on the front pointing in the direction of travel. That second intake was covered with a blue cap. All this can be seen easily by opening the hood.

Now I wonder, all the roaring I've been hearing when the motor hits higher revs...is it because a third of the intended air supply to the intake was blocked? I lined the engine compartment with Hushmat in an attempt to reduce the engine noise you may recall. A lot of work and Hushmat is not cheap. Anyway we'll see just what difference it makes once I pull it off.

Also wondering if my gas mileage might bump up just a bit.

    Roll,
Roof repairs done. They had to paint up top where taking roof off pulled some off. Waiting to get that done. Yes, I have pictures at all stages, haven't pulled canvas yet. Plan on posting a video. Once unit is back I will finalize pics and post. Also LED dimmer results and flourescent tube to LED conversion. I have two technologies for that. The loser goes into the kitchen. They both require a simple, and yes, reversable conversion. On another note.....how are you enjoying that retirement?

    Hi Denis,

I want to go ahead with the lighting project and was looking for your detailed thread on the changes and parts you used. I can't seem to find it via title and suspect it was part of another thread that had nothing to do with lighting. Can you point me to the right thread?

Hope all is well. I finally retired for the first time on the 31st July. Feels a bit strange. I am into my retirement 9 days now; it still feels like I'm on vacation and will be going back to work soon. I had a hard time letting go of the program I partially designed and solely implemented. It was my baby for 10 years. Anyway, we headed out to Gettysburg for a few days and had a very nice time. Going to Dallas (wife still works and has some travel obligations that we now try to do in the coach) and from there may head down to South Padre Island for a week.

    Take Care and best wishes...
